Finally managed to find some time tonight to write this post...
My father was discharged from hospital today. Thank God the operation was successful and his right eye is now on the road to recovery. Just pray that he will have a smooth and speedy recovery. We want to thank all our friends who prayed with us and also those who visited him whether at home or hospital. We are grateful for your support.
It's been a rough and taxing week for our family with my father's retinal problem. Looking back, we see the undeniable grace and favor of God upon this situation:
1. The Operation was done by the Head of the eye centre who is also the best surgeon. We were told by the nurse during monday's appointment that he usually do sugery on the full paying patients. My father, being a subsidised patient, is lucky according to her.
2. He stayed relatively comfortable in a B1 air-conditioned ward due to a shortage of B2 ward. He even had the whole ward to himself for the first 1.5 days. Like a private ward.
3. The incident happened before my brother resumes his national service liability. He has been a great help and was around most of the time dealing with the situation, taking care of admission details. I have indeed seen my brother fully maturing as a fine young man. Perhaps, as a result of being in a relationship....: ) Great job, Jackie!
I was also thankful that my trip to Taiwan has been repeatedly postponed previously. Had it proceeded as planned, I would not be around to help. Hence I see the perfect timing of God and His control over the circumstances.
Do continue to pray with us for his full recovery. Thanks again!
