At around 3.30am 2 weeks ago, there was a disturbing noise that woke us up. The noise was like that of cricket at night. We managed to discern that the noise came from the bathroom in the master bedroom. The moment we turned on the bathroom lights, the noise went away. As we were too tired to search, we left it alone to return to sleep.
Few hours later, we were woken by the same noise again. It was already 7am and we did a quick search around the bathroom but to no avail. We decided to spray some insecticide and we left for work.
That night, the cricket noise came again. It went rather silent when the bathroom lights was switched on. After some intense search where we removed a lot of the bathroom items, the little cricket was found and squashed. It was amazing that a small little cricket (about the size of a beetle) can generate such loud noise. Thankfully, we are able sleep well subsequently without the noise. How that cricket found its way to our bathroom was a mystery.
